TV licence refunds

TV licence refunds
TV licence refunds are administered from within the Revenues and Payments Section at the Council Offices, 52 Derby Street, Ormskirk. For more information call 01695 585032.

TV licence allowance scheme
The TV Licence allowance scheme is available to existing claimants aged 60 or over. If you haven't made a successful claim in the last three years unfortunately you will not qualify.

If you do qualify, you'll get a £30.50 refund, unless you bought your licence for less than that amount, in part payment towards an over 75s free TV licence. In this case the amount refunded will be the actual amount paid.

Application criteria
You can apply for the TV licence allowance if you are an existing claimant who:

  • has made a successful claim within the last three years, and
  • is a private or council tenant or you own your own home, and
  • is aged over 60 years

Application forms and further details are available from:

  • Revenue and Payments Office, West Lancashire District Council, 52 Derby Street, Ormskirk. Tel: 01695 585032
  • ost Offices
