Economic Regeneration Team
The Economic Regeneration Team aims to attract and work with
companies moving into West Lancashire and expanding within the
district, by:
- Promoting the development and diversification of the local
economy.
- Enhancing and promoting a positive and dynamic image of the
District to investors, clients and visitors.
- Ensuring the adequate provision of land and associated
infrastructure, and to protect and improve the physical environment
in order to attract further investment.
Estates & Valuation Team
Our Estates & Valuation Team provides the administration,
technical and professional support required to deal with all
corporate property related issues from leasing and general building
maintenance to major capital and planned programmes. The team also
manages the Council owned retail, industrial and office
units from which it derives rent. The team ensure that
these properties are managed efficiently and properly and to
maximise the rental income to the Council. The typical sort of work
involves rent reviews, new lettings, lease renewals and reporting
any repairs which are needed.
External Funding Team
The Council's dedicated External Funding Team is responsible
for securing and managing a wide range of grants and other public
investment programmes (from both the UK and Europe) to support the
delivery of local regeneration projects and initiatives throughout
the district. The team also provides advice and guidance on
external funding opportunities to anyone with a project idea or a
general query.
