April green events
With the warmer weather almost upon us it’s a great
opportunity to explore our fantastic parks and
countryside.
April’s calendar is jam-packed with interesting events
organised by West Lancashire District Council for people of all
ages to enjoy.
There’s everything from star gazing and learning about
astronomy, to healthy walks and some hands-on activities such as
helping with pond maintenance. The month ends with a parade to
celebrate our patriot on St George’s Day.
Cllr Andrew Fowler, Portfolio Holder for Community
Services and Health, said: "We have put together a variety of
events this month which allows participants to enjoy the great
outdoors at different times. They can experience the great outdoors
in the morning, afternoon or evening. So whether you like practical
activities or want to learn more, I’m sure you’ll find an event
you’ll want to go along to this month."
Activities are free to join but it’s a good idea to book
in advance, as places are limited. For more information or to book
