Get a taste of the continent at special
markets
Ooh la-la! Visitors are in for a delicious treat as the popular
Continental Market makes a welcome return.
Instead of jetting off to far flung places you can sample a
taste of Europe on your own doorstep if you visit Ormskirk town
centre on Friday 8 and Sunday 10 May.
On that weekend the Continental Market is back by popular demand
and brings together a mix of countries, flavours and delicacies to
tempt shoppers.
There will be plenty on offer to tickle the taste-buds from
Belgium chocolates and French cheese to Turkish delight, Italian
biscuits and fine wines.
As well as the many delicious food and drink items on offer,
there will also be a variety of unusual and crafted gifts such as
leather goods, clothes, jewellery and toys.
Cllr Martin Forshaw, Portfolio Holder for Planning with
responsibility for Ormskirk Market, said: "The Continental Market
brings real energy and atmosphere to our already bustling town
centre and is very popular with resients and visitors.
"I’d encourage shoppers to come along and sample the many
delights on offer because it will give people a real flavour of the
wining and dining scene from the continent."
