Businesses can find credit crunch advice in double-click
time
Surviving the ‘credit crunch’ is a major concern for businesses
in the current economic climate so to help, West Lancashire
District Council is giving sound advice in double-click time!
To provide local businesses with as much support as possible
during these difficult financial times, the Council’s Enterprising
West Lancashire Team has compiled a list of useful information and
links on the Council website's Enterprising pages.
The idea behind this new section is to help businesses access
support as quickly and easily as possible 24/7 and without even
leaving the comfort of the home or office!
Cllr Adrian Owens, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration and
Estates, said: "Every day in the news seems to bring yet more
stories of companies struggling in the wake of the recession. These
are very difficult times for everyone, including businesses. The
District Council offers lots of support to businesses but often
they are unaware of what’s on offer. Therefore, we thought it would
be a good idea to provide information on our website to give
businesses as much help as possible to keep afloat in today’s
economic climate.
"It lists our own business support and also pulls together
useful information about other organisations who can offer advice
in the recession. I’d encourage people to visit Enterprising
West Lancashire today as it’s a quick, easy and convenient way
of getting information any time of the day or night."
The Council’s Enterprising West Lancashire Team provides
tailored support by qualified and experienced business advisors to
anyone thinking about starting a new venture or for established
businesses. They also run a series of workshops including marketing
and contingency planning.
In addition, the Council is keen to hear direct from businesses
about how they are managing during this recession and what steps
they have had to take to ensure they remain competitive in the
marketplace. If you are interested in sharing your experiences with
us and other businesses across the district, take a look at our
‘Let’s talk Business’ virtual forum.
