Kick-start 2009 with a creative hobby!
Have you always wanted a little drama in your life? Or perhaps
you want to unleash your artistic side but don’t know where to
begin. Help is at hand!
The West Lancashire Arts Directory has all the answers because
it lists the majority of creative groups and organisations within
the district.
Whether it’s dance, music, visual or performing arts, if you’re
looking for inspiration then the A-Z publication will point you in
the right direction
So make it one of your New Year’s resolutions to take up a
creative hobby and pick up a free copy to see what’s available
across the district to help you tap into your talented side.
The team are also looking to update the guide and are
encouraging new groups and member to join. Anybody who is
interested in being listed in the publication must submit their
information on their group by 28 February and must include details
such as the venue, when they meet, what they do and their main
contact details.
Cllr Geoff Hammond, Portfolio Holder for Community Services,
said: "Since we produced this fantastic guide dedicated to the arts
in West Lancashire it has been snapped up by lots of residents
looking for inspiration on taking up a creative new interest. So
whether you want to join a new group, find out what activities are
available or looking for experienced facilitators to help develop
projects and arts activities - the directory should have the
answers.
"It’s also a good opportunity for new groups to be listed in
order to promote the services they provide. So hurry if you want to
be featured!"
