The Mayoral Engagements for the week beginning 22 June 2009

Monday 22 June, 4.00 p.m.

Council Offices, 52 Derby Street

The Mayor & Mayoress will attend a ceremony to celebrate Britain’s first ever Armed Forces Day, which is on 27th June, by the raising of a new special Ministry of Defence flag which will be flown all week and will be presented to the Mayor by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire

 

Tuesday 23 June, 6.30 p.m.

Leighton Hall, Carnforth, Lancashire

The Mayor & Mayoress will attend an ‘At Home’ hosted by the High Sheriff of Lancashire, Mrs Susan Reynolds

 

Tuesday 23 June, 7.00 p.m.

Edge Hill University, Ormskirk

The Deputy Mayor & Mayoress will attend a screening of ‘Wasted’ – a film about alcohol written by young people for young people – a West Lancashire Peer Education project in conjunction with Liverpool Film Academy

 

Wednesday 24 June, Noon

Mayor’s Room, Council Offices

The Mayor & Mayoress will attend a press launch for their chosen charities, West Lancashire Parkinson’s Society and Mencap West Lancashire 

 

Wednesday 24 June, 7.30 p.m.

Hurlston Hall Golf Club

The Mayor & Mayoress will attend a buffet supper organised by the West Lancashire Heritage Association

 

Thursday 25 June, 12.15 p.m.

Digmoor Community Centre, Skelmersdale

The Mayor & Mayoress will attend a Learning Disability Fun Day organised by Mencap West Lancashire and will present certificates to all those attending courses

 

Friday 26 June, 9.15 a.m.

Investment Centre, Skelmersdale

The Mayor will attend the Local Strategic Partnership Conference

 

Saturday 27 June, 11.55 a.m.

The Wardens Club, Blaguegate Lane, Skelmersdale

The Mayor & Mayoress will attend the Armed Forces Day celebrations organised by the West Lancashire Armed Forces Day Committee

 

Saturday 27 June, 7.20 p.m.

Ormskirk School

The Mayor & Mayoress will attend the Ormskirk Music Society Summer Concert

 

Sunday 28 June, 10.50 a.m.

St Nicholas Church, Church Road, Halewood

The Mayor & Mayoress will attend the Mayor of Knowsley’s Civic Sunday Service
