Bring a bit of drama and creativity to
your Easter holidays
Make your Easter ‘egg-citing’ this year and
sign up for one of the fun creative workshops in Ormskirk.
Chapel Gallery has organised a series of
sessions aimed at 8 to 16 year olds during the school break to
encourage them to use art techniques to make lots of weird and
wonderful characters.
All workshops are at the Gallery, starting
from 10am to 3.30pm and are individually priced. Details are as
follows:
- Animal Madness, Wednesday 8
April. Artist Shelly Atton will ask children to use their
imagination to make puppets from the strangest animals they can
think of - be it a mouse-cat or a pig-dog!!!
- Creatures of the Deep,
Wednesday 15 April. Youngsters will join artist Jack Doyle to
create an underworld collection of creatures from the deep using
the technique of plaster-of-paris and sand-casting.
- All About Me, Friday 17
April. Using a shoebox and a variety of different materials artist
Rachel Arkwright will be working with young people to make their
own personal shrine that represents their personality and own
individuality.

from Tuesday 14 to Saturday 18 April, from 10am to 4pm during the
week and 1pm to 6pm on the Saturday and costs £40 per person. To

Cllr Andrew Fowler, Portfolio Holder for
Community Services, said: “With Easter just around the corner it’s
time to make plans to ensure that the youngsters don’t get bored.
These sessions are always a hit with young people because it allows
them to explore their creative talents and meet likeminded children
within a friendly environment. Places are already being snapped up
so be quick to book your space.”
