Put a spring in your step during March

6 March 2009, 09/50

Put a spring in your step during MarchDaffodils
Every weekend during March you can enjoy West Lancashire's parks and countryside at a series of outdoor activities. It's a fantastic opportunity to mark the new season and make the most of your local green spaces.

Team up with West Lancs District Council's Rangers to support wildlife and take part in conservation events at Beacon Country Park, Up Holland and Coronation Park, Ormskirk.

Young people, adults and families are welcome and the weekend activities are a chance to be more active and preserve the local environment.

Cllr Andrew Fowler, Portfolio Holder for Community Services and Health, said: "As we prepare for the arrival of spring, residents can join in our March events and experience West Lancashire's wonderful countryside locations. If you take an interest in the environment or want to learn, you can meet likeminded people and pick up conservation tips from the Rangers. You could even improve your health by coming along to our seasonal walk."

For more information about the events in March contact the Countryside Rangers on 01695 622794 or email beacon.park@westlancsdc.gov.uk.
