Spread the word about your art group in special
directory!
Art groups across West Lancashire have a fantastic opportunity
to plug their services for free in a specialist A-Z directory.
Due to the success of the first publication that was launched in
2007, West Lancashire Borough Council’s Arts Development Service is
currently working on a new, bigger and better version!
The directory will be as easy as using the ‘Yellow Pages’ and
will cover performing arts, creative writing, visual arts, music,
dancing and other service providers in the creative world.
They want to hear from any young people or adults group that
provides an arts activity. For example it could be an after school
group, painting group, a writing or dance group.
It is a unique opportunity for organisations to reach new
members and is also a great way to let people in the borough know
about the variety of amateur, voluntary and professional groups
here in West Lancashire.
It is free to sign up to the booklet, which will publish the
names, contacts details and descriptions of all the art groups who
provide a service in the area. The deadline for entries is Friday 4
December 2009.
Councillor Andrew Fowler, Portfolio Holder for Community
Services, said: "We first produced the Arts Directory in 2007 and
it has been so popular that we thought it was time to update it and
hopefully make it even bigger and better! It is a great chance for
art groups across the borough to really promote their activities to
a wide audience free of charge. So I’d urge organisations to get in
touch to be included in this excellent publication."
