Tenants invited to have their
say
Tenants are invited to have their say on how housing services
are delivered and reviewed in West Lancashire.
West Lancashire Borough Council’s Corporate Overview and
Scrutiny Committee are investigating how tenants can get involved
in monitoring and reviewing the services they receive. They want to
hear from any tenant who has ideas on how they would like to be
involved in the future.
The committee is asking tenants to write in with their ideas on
how improvements can be made to involvement processes.
Councillor James Kay, chairman of the Corporate Overview and
Scrutiny Committee, said:
"We want council tenants to become more involved in the
governance of tenants services and have the chance to share their
thoughts and ideas. Some tenants will have excellent ideas about
how we can improve involvement in this area and where we should be
looking to make changes.
"We want them to give us their suggestions to improve things for
all our tenants across the borough."
Any tenant who wants more information on the project can find it
on the tenants page.
A project plan was also produced by the council’s Corporate
Overview and Scrutiny Committee, which is available online.
The committee’s work will be reported to the council’s cabinet
in spring 2011. The results will then be used to make
recommendations to the scrutiny committee.
Tenants can give their views in writing to the Executive
Manager, Housing and Property Maintenance Services, PO Box 16, 52
Derby Street, Ormskirk, L39 2DF or emailing tracy.berry@westlancs.gov.uk
The closing date for comments is 25 November 2010.
