Nominate your sport winner
Are you a budding sport star in the making? Or perhaps your club
gives a lot back to the community? If so we want to hear from
you.
West Lancashire District Council, in partnership with Lancashire
Sport, is on the lookout for local nominations for the annual
County Sport Awards.
The categories for nominations are:
· Coach of the Year
· Community Club of the Year
· Young Volunteer of the Year (aged 16-24 years)
· Rising Star 2008 (under 18 years)
· Special Recognition Award
· Lifetime Achievement Award
Cllr Geoff Hammond, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, said: "These
awards provide an ideal opportunity for local people to recognise
the efforts of volunteers and coaches. Without the hard work and
dedication of volunteers many sports clubs would not exist and
these awards provide a showcasing event of sport across
Lancashire."
Any individual or club can nominate for any of these awards by
completing the online form at www.lancashiresport.org.uk/WestLancsSportsAwards2008.
The deadline for nominations is August 18th 2008.
