How do I apply to rent a home from the Council?
If you want to apply to rent a home from the Council using
HomeFinder, you need to be on the housing register.
If you are on the housing register you will automatically be
registered for HomeFinder. You don't need to do anything.
If you are not on the housing register, you need to apply by
completing an application form. Anyone aged 16 or over can
apply to join the housing register, you do not need to live in
the West Lancs area, but there are some restrictions as to who can
be accepted.

Brookside Retirement Living Scheme
The Council is working in partnership with
Arena Housing Association and other agencies on the development of
Brookside Retirement Living Scheme, which is under construction in
Aughton Street, Ormskirk.
The construction of Brookside is due to be
completed by Spring 2012 and partners are now looking to start the
process of allocating the 111 apartments. The Council will
manage the application process.
