Paying your rent

The amount of rent you pay depends on the type of home you live in. The rent you are paying at the moment will be shown on your rent card.

Your rent is due on the Monday of each week starting from the Monday your tenancy begins. Your rent must be paid on time.

There are occasional non-collection weeks in each year when no rent is due, normally the first two weeks in April and around Christmas time (although, people with rent owing - called 'arrears'- must continue to pay in these weeks). Your rent card will show you when these non-collection weeks are.

How to pay your rent

There are a wide range of methods to pay your rent or other housing payment. Visit the pay a bill page to find out more. Alternatively, if you would like to speak to a Housing Officer about payment options, please telephone 01695 585177 or email rentsteam@westlancs.gov.uk.
