The Civic Hall has a large hall that can accommodate up to 380
people, with smaller meetings rooms available.
The hall
The large hall is an ideal venue for theatrical shows and
concerts, with its large stage area, which has changing facilities
at the rear. The hall is also a perfect venue for conferences,
weddings, parties, dinner dances and other large functions.

For a theatre production (this number includes cast/production
staff/audience/staff): 380

Reception room
The reception room is ideal for seminars, conferences,
presentations or training courses, with audio and visual equipment
available on request with sufficient notice.
Bar
The bar facility is situated at the side of the hall, and
arrangements can be made with the licensee for table wines. The bar
operates normal licensing hours although special arrangements can
be made with at least one month's notice.
Catering
The hall has a large kitchen which can be used. Alternatively
other catering arrangements can be made.
Car parking
The hall is within walking distance of a number of local town
car parks, which are free of charge for evening events.
Prices for hire
Main Hall
Mon-Wed day: £22 per hour
Mon-Wed after 6pm: £29 per hour
Thur-Sun day: £29 per hour
Thur-Sun after 6pm: £33 per hour
Public Holidays: £44 per hour
Kitchen: £23 per session
Party rate (10am-12midnight plus kitchen): £210 per booking
For commercial bookings add 60% to total charge
Amateur Dramatics Societies
Rehearsals: £13 per hour
Setting-up: £13 per hour
Mon-Wed: £69 per day
Thurs-Sun: £75 per day
Reception room
Mon-Thur: £15 per hour
Fri-Sun: £16 per hour
When hired in addition to Main Hall: £31 per booking (one off
charge)
Committee room
Fixed rate: £11 per booking
Payments for all facilities are by cash and cheque.
