Parking fines and enforcement

We are responsible for parking enforcement in Ormskirk's council owned car parks. This process is handled through a system called Chipside Lancashire (external link).

Parking enforcement on the roads and streets within the borough is the responsibility of Lancashire County Council (external link).

Paying or challenging the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN)

  •  If your PCN was issued on a council owned car park in Ormskirk and you wish to pay the fine or challenge the issue of the PCN you should contact Chipside Lancashire (external link).

The Council is a member of the Parking and Traffic Regulations Outside London (PATROL) Adjudication Joint Committee. Further information about parking legislation and making a challenge against the issue of a PCN and can be viewed at the PATROL (external link) website. Here you'll find information about the enforcement of parking regulations by councils in England (outside London) and Wales that are in the Civil Enforcement Scheme.

PATROL also publishes an Annual Statement of Accounts which is subject to External Audit. View the arrangements and timetable for 2010/11 (external link).
