The Council is required to prepare and publish a Local
Development Scheme (LDS). The LDS is essentially a 'project plan'
for the various planning policy documents that the Council intends
to prepare. The most recent LDS approved by
the Council is the 2007 LDS. Given much of the 2007 LDS is
now out-of-date, a new LDS is currently being prepared.
The Council will monitor the Local Plan against the timetable
(below) for its preparation and consultation, and
report progress in the Annual Monitoring
Report.
