Tell us what’s important to you!
The Borough Council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committees are
inviting local residents to submit ideas to be included in their
work programmes for 2011/12. If you have a suggestion that you
think might be suitable - let us know. A number of ideas have
already been submitted and are under consideration.
Business Plan
The Council is inviting views on its Business Plan 2011/12
- 2014/15 - a four-year plan to save money and protect frontline
services.
Have your say on housing
The council has always listened to and worked with tenants to
ensure they're receiving a good service which is tailored to meet
individual needs. We are constantly looking
at how to improve the ways tenants
can get involved and have their say on housing.
Would you be interested in helping build your own home?
West Lancashire Borough Council is trying to
find out if local people who can’t afford to buy a house might be
interested in self-build schemes. Anyone who is
interested should phone Lynn Stronach, Strategic Housing
Administrator on 01695 585371 or email lynn.stronach@westlancs.gov.uk
Forward Plan
The Forward Plan lists "key" Cabinet decisions
likely to be made over the next four months. These decisions may be
made by the Cabinet or, occasionally, by individual Members or
Officers of the Council acting under delegated authority. The plan
is updated and rolled forward every month. It gives information
about the subject involved and shows who will make the decision and
when it will be made. The Plan also gives information about any
consultation prior to the decision being made and advice on how you
can make representations.

consultation
A wide range of consultations
are being carried out
on the Council's emerging
Local Development Framework (LDF).
Development Control Customer Satisfaction Surveys
To monitor the satisfaction of Development Control customers,
surveys are sent monthly to applicants who submitted planning
applications, neighbours who were consulted on planning
applications, and to members of the public who have made complaints
regarding possible breaches of planning control. Results of the
surveys will be published when all data has been collated and
analysed.
