Sustainability Strategy
Communities, businesses and involved organisations will be
consulted during 2012 throughout the development of a
Sustainability Strategy. The overall aims of the document are to
reduce CO2 emissions across West Lancashire, promote
adaptation to our changing climate and encourage sustainable
communities and development. The document will provide one single
port of call for advice, guidance, signposting and project
development across the Borough.
Granville Park conservation area - character appraisal
Local residents and involved organisations
will be consulted on proposals to preserve and enhance the
character of the conservation areas. Local residents will
receive a letter and there will be an exhibition later in the
year.
Burscough and Tarleton appraisals
Appraisal work is starting in Junction Lane Conservation Area,
Burscough and Fulwood and Douglas Avenue Conservation Area,
Tarleton. Consultation with residents in these two areas will
take place.
